About Xscape

Xscape is an American R&B girl group that emerged in the 1990s. Comprising of four talented vocalists, Kandi Burruss, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, LaTocha Scott, and Tamika Scott, Xscape quickly gained recognition for their soulful harmonies and captivating performances. With their unique blend of contemporary R&B, hip-hop, and soul, the group became a prominent force in the music industry. Formed in Atlanta, Georgia, Xscape signed with So So Def Recordings, a label founded by renowned producer Jermaine Dupri. Their debut album, "Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha," was released in 1993 and achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success. The album spawned several hit singles, including "Just Kickin' It" and "Understanding," which topped the R&B charts and solidified Xscape's position as a rising star in the music scene. Xscape's sophomore album, "Off the Hook," was released in 1995 and further showcased their exceptional vocal abilities and songwriting skills. The album featured the chart-topping single "Who Can I Run To" and solidified their status as one of the leading R&B groups of the era. Their third and final studio album, "Traces of My Lipstick," was released in 1998 and included the hit singles "The Arms of the One Who Loves You" and "My Little Secret." Despite their success, Xscape disbanded in 1998 to pursue individual projects. However, their impact on the R&B genre remained significant, and their music continued to resonate with fans worldwide. In 2017, the group reunited and embarked on "The Great Xscape Tour," which received overwhelming support and sold-out shows across the United States.
