About Fitz and The Tantrums

Fitz and The Tantrums, an American indie pop and neo-soul band, have been captivating their fans with their unique sound since their formation in 2008. The band's lineup includes Michael Fitzpatrick (lead vocals), Noelle Scaggs (co-lead vocals and percussion), James King (saxophone, flute, keyboard, percussion and guitar), Joseph Karnes (bass guitar), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards) and John Wicks (drums and percussion). The band's journey began in Los Angeles, California, when Fitzpatrick bought an old church organ and felt inspired to create a new sound. He reached out to his college friend, James King, who recommended Noelle Scaggs, a talented singer and percussionist. The rest of the band was assembled soon after, and Fitz and The Tantrums was born. Their fans, often referred to as "Fitz Fam," were first introduced to their music with the release of their debut studio album, "Pickin' Up the Pieces" in 2010. The album received critical acclaim and was a commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Their unique blend of indie pop and neo-soul, combined with their energetic performances, quickly gained them a dedicated fan base. Fitz and The Tantrums continued to evolve their sound with their second album, "More Than Just a Dream," released in 2013. The album featured the hit singles "Out of My League" and "The Walker," which both reached number one on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.
