About Digable Planets

Digable Planets, a Grammy-winning hip-hop trio, is renowned for their unique fusion of jazz and hip-hop. The group, consisting of Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Mary Ann "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira, and Craig "Doodlebug" Irving, emerged from New York City in the early 1990s. The group's second album, "Blowout Comb", released in 1994, was a departure from their debut, featuring a more mature sound and politically charged lyrics.
