Alex Johnson is an in demand saxophonist, composer, and educator in the Los Angeles area and is excited to bring his project A Tribute to Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers to the Catalina stage! Alexs group will play a mixture of classic and obscure tunes from The Jazz Messengers discography with a stellar band featuring Nolan Shaheed on trumpet, Otmaro Ruiz on piano, Jeff Littleton on bass, and Marvin Smitty Smith on drums.
