Event information
Grammy nominated guitar-slinger, troublemaker, raconteur, producer, and Georgia boy, Butch Walker is the writer behind dozens of songs with hooks that just seem to stick with you. Rolling Stone has called Walker one of Americas best singer-songwriters. Hes penned choruses you cant help but sing along to for artists ranging from Frank Turner and Morgan Wade to Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne while also producing massive rock records for Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day including their 2020 release Father of All Motherfuckers which debuted at #1 on Billboards Album Sales Chart. He is a teller of authentic stories of exploits, predicaments, and romance that are filled with optimism and a builder of albums with no boundaries - rock, pop, Americana, singer-songwriter. 2022 marked the release of his 10th studio LP Butch Walker As Glenn, that saw him swapping out his legendary guitar riffs for polished piano chords; Rolling Stone says the album channels Billy Joel, Elton John, and the best of 70s piano ballads, in an ode to his favorite industry virtuosos. Walkers 2020 critically acclaimed album American Love Story, a conceptual rock opera inspired by modern times in America, was praised by Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone as one of the Best Albums of the year. Stay Gold, his 2016 album, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart as well as #10 on the Rock Chart. Throughout his career, he has received broad critical acclaim, including praises from Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, The FADER, Consequence of Sound, Paste, American Songwriter, AV Club, and Esquire among many others.
