Yellowcard is an American rock band that emerged in Jacksonville, Florida in 1997. Known for their unique blend of pop punk and alternative rock, Yellowcard has garnered a dedicated fan base and achieved significant success throughout their career. The band was formed by vocalist/guitarist Ryan Key, violinist Sean Mackin, guitarist Ben Harper, drummer Longineu Parsons III, and bassist Warren Cooke. Their distinctive sound was characterized by the incorporation of Mackin's violin, which added a melodic and emotive element to their music. Yellowcard gained mainstream recognition with their breakthrough album, "Ocean Avenue," released in 2003. The album's title track became an anthem for a generation, with its catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics resonating with listeners. The success of "Ocean Avenue" propelled Yellowcard into the spotlight, earning them a dedicated following and critical acclaim.
